Sometimes the duct itself is the issue. We repair the venting system — we do not repair dryers.
Crushed or kinked duct
A dryer pushed too far back against the wall flattens the transition hose. Airflow drops instantly and lint packs into the crease.

How often does a home dryer vent need cleaning?
Annually for a typical household. Move to every six months if you run more than five loads a week, have a long or roof-terminating duct, dry a lot of pet bedding, or have a household of five or more. Failure to clean is the leading contributing factor in residential clothes dryer fires, so the interval matters more than most people assume.
What does dryer vent cleaning cost in Columbus, Ohio?

How long does the appointment take?
Under an hour for most first-floor systems. Roof-vented runs take longer because of ladder work and duct length. We book realistic windows rather than stacking jobs and running late.
Can't I just do this myself with a kit from the hardware store?
You can clean the first few feet, and doing that between visits genuinely helps. What a consumer kit can't do is reach the full run of a 25–35 foot duct, pull compacted lint from elbows, or tell you whether the system is actually moving air afterward. Without a meter reading you're guessing — and a duct that looks clear at the opening can still be 70% blocked at the bend.
Do you clean vents in condos and rental properties?
Yes. For condos we'll coordinate with your association if roof or exterior access needs approval. For rentals we can bill the owner or manager and provide documentation of the service for their records. If you manage more than a handful of units, the multi-unit page is the better fit.
