We don't guess your vent is clear.
We measure it.
Most dryer vent companies brush the line, sweep up, and hand you an invoice. We put a meter on your exhaust before we leave — and if it doesn't read above 1,400 feet per minute, we're not finished.
◆ $150 first-floor vents + applicable sales tax ◆ 30-day workmanship guarantee ◆ Upfront quotes before any extra work
The case for cleaning
Lint is the leading cause of dryer fires. Not old wiring. Lint.
Every load leaves a little more behind. Two or three years in, a duct that should move 1,400+ feet of air per minute is moving a fraction of that — and the heat has nowhere to go.
What we do
Four kinds of buildings. One standard.
Whether it's one dryer in a Powell ranch or ninety in a Delaware County apartment community, the process and the pass threshold don't change.

Six steps. Every visit. No shortcuts.
You'll know exactly what we did and exactly what changed, because we measure it at the start and again at the end.
System inspection
We inspect the full dryer vent system for lint buildup, restrictions, crushed sections and anything else that shouldn't be there.
Vent path identification
We locate and verify the actual route from the appliance to the exterior termination — wall, roof or soffit. Guessing the route is how vents get missed.
Hose & duct cleaning
Lint and debris come out of the transition hose and the full duct run using professional rotary brushes and vacuum equipment — not a leaf blower.
Airflow verification
We reassemble, run the dryer, and measure exit velocity with an airflow sensor. We're looking to confirm greater than 1,400 feet per minute at the termination.
Site cleanup
Every work area gets cleaned and all debris leaves with us. You shouldn't be able to tell we were there, except that your dryer works.
30-day service guarantee
The work is backed by a written 30-day workmanship guarantee. Something not right? We come back.

Questions
Straight answers
How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?
Once a year for a typical household. If you run more than about five loads a week, have a long or roof-terminating duct run, or share a laundry room, every six months is the safer interval. Households with pets that shed heavily tend to need it sooner than they expect.
What does dryer vent cleaning cost in Columbus?
Ours is flat: $150 for a standard first-floor vent and $250 for a roof-vented dryer. That's the whole price — inspection, cleaning, airflow verification, cleanup and the 30-day guarantee are all included. Commercial and multi-unit properties are quoted by equipment count and access.
How long does it take?
Most residential jobs run under an hour. Roof-vented systems and long duct runs take longer because there's more line to brush and ladder work involved. If we find a damaged or disconnected duct, we'll stop, show you, and quote the repair before doing anything else.
What is 1,400 FPM, and why does it matter?
FPM is feet per minute — how fast air is actually leaving your exterior vent. It's the only objective measure of whether a duct is genuinely clear. A restricted system might read 300–500 FPM. We verify above 1,400 FPM at the termination before calling a job complete, which is why you get a number instead of a promise.
Do you repair dryer vents?
Yes — crushed or disconnected ducts, failed exterior vent hoods and dampers, improper flexible-foil transition hoses, booster fan service, and terminations that were never installed to code. We do not repair the dryer appliance itself.
Do I need to be home?
Someone needs to give us access to the dryer and the exterior termination. Beyond that, no — we'll walk you or your tenant through the before-and-after readings when we're done, or send them if you're not on site.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Adam Abbott holds the ASCS (Air Systems Cleaning Specialist) certification, and we carry liability insurance. Property managers can request a certificate of insurance before we schedule.
