The math

What $40 a cleaning actually adds up to

Illustrative examples, not promises — your result depends on how many families book. But the per-booking number is fixed, so the math is yours to run.

$1,000 25 families book a cleaning
$2,000 50 families book a cleaning
$4,000 100 families book a cleaning

For comparison: a typical product fundraiser nets the organization somewhere around 40–50 cents on the dollar, and every one of those dollars has to be collected, tracked, boxed and hand-delivered.

How it works

Three steps. You do one of them.

STEP 01

Partner

Fill out the form below. We set up your campaign with a dedicated link and promo code, and send you a partner kit — flyer, social graphics, sample newsletter copy and a QR code. Usually within two business days.

STEP 02

Share

Send the link. Newsletter, team group chat, Facebook page, backpack flyer, table at the game. Supporters book a cleaning like they normally would — nothing to collect, nothing to hand out.

STEP 03

Earn

Every booking with your link or code credits $40 to your organization. We track it, you can check the running total any time, and we mail a check at the end of the campaign.

Why this one works

The hardest part of fundraising is asking. This ask is easy.

Every product fundraiser has the same problem: you're asking a neighbor to buy something they didn't want at a price they wouldn't pay, as a favor to your kid. It works on guilt, and everybody involved knows it.

This one is different in a way parents notice immediately. Dryer vent cleaning is a maintenance job most households are already overdue for. The leading contributing factor in residential clothes dryer fires is failure to clean — and the fix is one appointment.

So the pitch isn't "please buy this." It's "you need this done anyway, and if you book it through us, the band gets $40." That's a conversation people say yes to.

  • No inventory. Nothing to order, count, store in a garage, or sort into bags at 9pm.
  • No delivery day. The single biggest volunteer burden in product fundraising just doesn't exist here.
  • No money handling. Nobody collects cash or chases down an unpaid order form.
  • No expiration. Supporters book whenever it suits them inside the campaign window.
  • Genuinely useful. Every booking leaves a family safer, which makes it an easy thing to advocate for.

Who can partner

If you're raising money for something local, you qualify

One rule: your supporters need to be inside our service area — 50 miles of Columbus.

Schools & PTAs

Classroom funds, field trips, capital campaigns, teacher grants.

Athletic Teams

Youth leagues, travel teams, high school programs, booster clubs.

Band & Arts Boosters

Instruments, uniforms, competition travel, production costs.

Non-Profits

Churches, scouts, service clubs, rescues, community organizations.

Also works for: realty and business associations, HOA community funds, neighborhood civic groups, and employer-matched giving campaigns. If you're not sure whether your group fits, ask — the answer is usually yes.

How credit is tracked

Three ways to get counted, so nothing slips through

Most fundraiser bookings don't come from the link you posted. They come from a parent telling another parent at pickup. All three routes credit your campaign.

ROUTE 01

Your campaign link

dryerdaddy.com/fundraiser/
your-org

For newsletters, texts, social posts and QR codes. Credit is automatic and follows the visitor through the whole site.

ROUTE 02

Your promo code

YOURORG

Printed on flyers and yard signs. Supporters give it at booking — on the form or over the phone.

ROUTE 03

Just tell us

"I'm with the Lincoln band"

We ask every caller during the campaign. Somebody who heard about it word-of-mouth still counts.

Start a campaign

Two minutes to set up. Zero cost to run.

Tell us about your organization and we'll build your campaign link, promo code and partner kit — typically within two business days.

Your partner kit includes

  • Printable flyer with your organization's name and QR code
  • Social graphics sized for Facebook and Instagram
  • Sample newsletter and group-text copy you can paste
  • Your dedicated campaign link and promo code
  • A one-page explainer for board or committee approval

Fundraiser FAQ

What organizers ask first

What does it cost our organization to participate?

Nothing. No signup fee, no minimum bookings, no obligation to hit a number, and no cost if the campaign underperforms. If two families book, you earn $80. If nobody books, you owe nothing and we part as friends.

How much does each booking earn us?

$40 flat for every dryer vent cleaning booked through your campaign — whether the customer books the $150 first-floor service or the $250 roof-vented service. Same rate for every organization, no tiers based on size.

How long does a campaign run?

90 days by default. That's long enough to hit two or three communication cycles — a newsletter, an event, a reminder — without dragging on so long everyone forgets. If your calendar needs a different window, ask.

How and when do we get paid?

By check, mailed to your organization after the campaign closes and the final bookings are completed. You can check your running total any time during the campaign — just call or email.

What if a supporter forgets to use our link?

They still count, as long as they mention your organization. We ask every caller during an active campaign. Between the link, the promo code and simply telling us, it's difficult for a booking to go uncredited.

Is there a geographic limit?

Yes — supporters need to be within 50 miles of Columbus, Ohio for us to service them. That covers Franklin County and most of Delaware, Union, Madison, Fairfield and Licking counties.

Can we run this alongside another fundraiser?

Yes, and it tends to work well that way. Because there's no inventory, no order forms and no delivery day, it doesn't compete for the volunteer hours your other fundraiser needs.

Do we have to be a registered 501(c)(3)?

No. Booster clubs, teams, classrooms and informal community groups all qualify. We just need a real organization and a real person accountable for it. Note that this is a revenue share paid to your organization, not a charitable donation — check with your treasurer on how to record it.
